About: In this story we follow Ellen, who runs a decluttering agency called Spacewoman. She helps people clear clutter in their homes. She is also the amatuer slueth. It is on the job that she discovers the body. The body was an 80 year old TV celebrity, Humphrey Carter,  who died on his birthday. It is assumed his died by taking his own life. Ellen isn’t sure about this and thinks perhaps it could have been someone in his circle of family and friends who didn’t want him around anymore. This novel does discuss mental health according to some early reviewers.

About: Ricki James-Diaz is the story’s amatuer slueuth. Next to her home, a movie star moves into the mansion next door. Her home, now turned into a museum and gift shop for vintage cookbooks and kitchenware, is hosting a halloween haunted house tour when a body is discovered. It’s the body of the movie star’s assistant. Everyone becomes a suspect. Early readers say there are lots of animals in this story such as dogs named Thor and Princess and peacocks named Gumbo and Jambalaya and a new kitten. Arc readers also say they this book has a good sense of humor and an interesting cast of characters.

Not a cozy: I found this on a new releases cozy mystery list and it caught my attention, it’s still a mystery.

About: Set in Manhattan in August. The story follows homicide detective Eve Dallas and her husband, Roarke. They set out to investigate a pre-wedding girls night out which has taken a horrific turn. The bride, Erin, was found dead in a pool.

Quote from the description: “Despite the dozens of people present, useful witnesses are hard to come by… This is a crime that can be countered only by hard detective work and relentless dedication―and Eve will not stop until she finds the killer who destroyed this couple’s dreams before the honeymoon even began…”

They are hosting a wedding for their friends, Christopher Sheffield and Lady Cordelia Mansfield when someone is discovered deceased at a bridge.
